THE MAKTAB SYSTEM

by: Moulana Abdool Hamid Damaat Barakatuhum

We are very lax in paying the Madrasah fees. We generally pay the school fees, give our children their pocket expenses, etc. The pocket expense is sometimes more than the fees. In fact if we are wealthy, we should pay on behalf of those kids that are unable to afford the Madrasah fees.

Ar-Raheem - The Most Merciful

Repeat ..... “الرحيم Allah Ta’ala is Most Merciful.” Our Allah Ta’ala is full of mercy.

·      Mummy has mercy for her baby. She won’t leave the baby to cry.

·      The mother cat has mercy for her baby kittens. She won’t leave them to die.

·      Now, if we put all the mercy of all the mothers of this world together, then our Allah’s mercy for us is still so much more.

End of the Year Jalsa

1. The purpose and object of a jalsa is to;

  • Please Allah Ta’ala
  • Motivate the pupils by allowing them to participate and giving them prizes for outstanding achievements.
  • Pass on some message of Deen to the parents and others who will be attending the madrasah jalsa.

2. Preferably have the jalsa in the third term as having the jalsa in the fourth term affects the preparation of the final exams. Pupils start focussing more on jalsa items than on the final exams. On the last day of the fourth term, an in house prize giving jalsa maybe conducted.
