Qurbaani 1432

Alhamdulillah with the grace and fadhal of Allah Ta’ala the Ta’limi Board (KZN) has embarked on a program performing Qurbaani in some of the rural makaatib. Al-hamdulillah, for the last 8 years this project has been carried out in several areas in KwaZulu Natal as well as the Eastern Cape in a spirit of reviving the sunnah of Qurbaani in these areas.

Many people for the first time in their lives have a chance to witness this great Ibaadat of Qurbaani. Before the Qurbaani is performed, a talk is given to those present explaining the incident of Hazrat Ebraaheem (AS.). The aspects of Tauheed in this incident are especially highlighted, as many of the parents in most cases are not Muslim. Hence, this program is a means of Da’wat for the parents.

The Qurbaani project generates much enthusiasm amongst the locals which can be witnessed from the smiles on their faces as they all march home with their meat parcels in their hands. In most instances, meat is a rare luxury in their homes.

Once again, we intend to carry out the Qurbaani Project in these areas. This year Insha Allah we are planning to slaughter 200 animals. This entire project, Al-hamdulillah, is supervised by the Ulama of the Ta’limi Board (KZN).
