An Aalim sees Hazrat Moulana Yunus Patel Saahib (RA) in a Dream

Yesterday (Friday 23 Sha’baan 1441) an Aalim told me that he saw Hazrat Moulana Yunus Patel Saahib (rahmatullahi alayh) in a dream. Hazrat Moulana said to him, “Tell the people to cry to Allah Ta’ala. I am also crying. Please pass my message to everyone that they should cry to Allah Ta’ala.” [End of dream].

Allah Ta’ala says in the Qur-aan-e-Kareem,

“Indeed we have sent messengers to the nations of the past, then we seized them with difficulties and hardships so that they will humble themselves by crying to Allah Ta’ala. Why is it that when our punishment came to them they did not cry (to Allah Ta’ala)?”

Hadhrat Moulana Idrees Kandhlawi (rahmatullahi alayh) writes in the commentary of this verse that when people denied the Ambiyaa (alayhimus salaam), Allah Ta’ala tested them with poverty and SICKNESSES. This was so that they would humble themselves and cry unto Allah Ta’ala by repenting and making taubah to Allah Ta’ala. Allah Ta’ala then asks them, “Why is it that you did not humble yourselves and cry unto Allah Ta’ala?” If only they cried unto Allah Ta’ala that calamity would have been removed. This is a time for us all to turn to Allah Ta’ala in taubah and cry unto Him.

We need to cry to Allah Ta’ala for four reasons;

  1. To cry over our Sins – be they major or minor, deliberate or mistaken, secret or open.
  2. To cry profusely for the opening of the Haramain Shareefain and the Masaajid as this is prime time in the year for the Muslims. i.e. Ramadhaan and Haj.
  3. To cry in repentance for indecency, dishonesty and injustice especially to those who are weaker than us as these are the main causes for the wrath of Allah Ta’ala.
  4. To cry in repentance for our disregard of righteous people of Deen and important functions of Deen.

We do not know whose sincere tears will reach the compassion of Allah Ta’ala and that will become the catalyst of re-opening the Haramain Shareefain and other Masaajid.

I humbly request one and all to please turn and cry unto Allah Ta’ala at least twice a day, individually and collectively. When making collective dua at home with ones families, please keep your ma’soom children with you as they will draw the special mercy of Allah Ta’ala.

May Allah Ta’ala grant one and all a mubaarak and accepted Ramadhaan with ease, respect and happiness. Aameen.

Yaqeen (conviction) in Allah Ta’ala

by Hadhrat Shaikh Zakariyya (RA)

This Hadith was mentioned 1400 years by Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. SubhanAllah! How apt are his mubaarak words that in this day and age it is so applicable to us all.

Hadhrat Ibne Abbaas (radhiyallahu anhuma) says: “One day, I was riding with Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) when he said to me, ‘My dear son, I will give you a few words of advice and, (I believe) that Allah Ta’ala will help you to benefit from them.’ I said very humbly, ‘Please, do tell me.’ He said, “If you remember Allah Ta’ala, (i.e. if you do what Allah Ta’ala commands you), He will remember you (i.e. He will protect you). And if you are mindful of Allah Ta’ala (i.e. if you do what you are supposed to do), you will find Him always ready to help you. If you are mindful of Him (i.e. remember Him) in good times, He will remember you (i.e. help you in difficult times). Remember that if a problem comes to you, it was already written, and if a problem misses you, know well that it could never have come to you. Know that if all the creation had to unite to do you some favour that Allah Ta’ala had not written for you, they would never be able to do so and if they were to unite to save you from a problem, but Allah Ta’ala had already decided it, they would never be able to do so. The pen of fate (Taqdeer) has written everything that is going to happen until the Day of Qiyaamah. When you ask for anything, ask from Allah Ta’ala and if you ask for help, ask from Him. When you put your trust in anyone, do so in Allah Ta’ala alone. Make ibaadat with firm faith and a true belief in Allah Ta’ala, with feelings of thanks to Him. Understand well that patience at the time of problems is really great, that Allah’s help comes to those who are patient; that with every problem there is a way out, and that difficulty will cause ease.”

Placing our Trust in Allah Ta’ala

by Shaikhul Hadeeth, Hadhrat Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (RA)

Allah Ta’ala says: “When my slave puts his trust in Me, I will find a way out for him, even if the skies and the earth were to join together against him.” Ibnu Abbaas I says, “Allah Ta’ala sent wahi (revelation) to Isa (alayhis salaam), ‘Put absolute trust in Me, for I shall take upon Myself the responsibility to fulfil all your needs. Choose no one as your protecting friend other than Me, otherwise I will leave you.’”

When the son of Auf Ibnu Maalik radiyallahu anhu was caught (by the kuffaar), they tied him tightly with leather-straps so that he could not escape. He was kept without food and treated very badly. He, however, managed to send a message to his father, informing him about his sad condition and requesting Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam to make dua for his release. When Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam was told of this, he said, “Send someone to him with the message that he should have piety (Taqwa), put his trust in Allah Ta’ala and recite this verse every morning and evening.”

A Rasul came to you from amongst yourselves, whatever harms you is difficult for him, he is full of concern for you, for the believers he is full of pity and merciful. Now if they turn away (O, Muhammad) say: Allah is enough for me. There is no deity besides Him. In Him have l put my trust, and He is the Rabb of the magnificent Throne. (at-Taubah 128-29)

When the message reached him, he began to recite this Aayah until one day, the straps broke themselves. He escaped from them and also brought home with him some animals of the kuffaar which he captured as booty. Ibnu Abbaas I says that whoever reads this verse, at a time when he fears injustice from a ruler, attack by a wild animal or getting drowned in a river, will escape any harm, Insha Allah.

A Hadith says that this Sahaabi was also advised to read the following dua very often:

لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهْ

There is no power and strength except from Allah Ta’ala.

Then this Aayah was revealed:

وَ مَنۡ یَّتَّقِ اللہَ  یَجْعَلۡ لَّہٗ  مَخْرَجًا ۙ﴿۲﴾  وَّ یَرْزُقْہُ  مِنْ حَیۡثُ لَا یَحْتَسِبُ ؕ وَ مَنۡ یَّتَوَکَّلْ عَلَی اللہِ  فَہُوَ حَسْبُہٗ ؕ

And for him who fears Allah, (has ‘Taqwa’) Allah finds a way out; and He will provide for him from where he did not expect, And whoever puts his trust in Allah, He will be enough for him. (at-Talaaq: 2-3)   [fazaail-e-Sadaqaat Page 440]
