Respected Ulama / Mu’allimaat
Assalaamu alaykum warhmatullahi wabrakaatuhu
Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah Ta’ala our Madrasahs are opening today after a long holiday. Once again children will be coming to Madrasah to learn the Qur-aan Shareef by us. All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala alone for this. May Allah accept our broken efforts.

10 guidelines for the first day of Madrasah

  1. Perform two rakaats of Salaatul Haajah and make dua to Allah Ta’ala for assistance, guidance and acceptance.
  2. Get familiar with your classroom as well as the new children in your class.
  3. Write down the names of the pupils in the temporary register. [Attached]
  4. Give the children a small talk on the importance of coming to Madrasah everyday and how it will benefit them in this world and the next.
  5. Read out the guidelines for pupils. [This is found in the pupil’s diary].
  6. Give each child an enrolment form and ask them to have it filled in by their parents/guardians.
  7. Collect all pupils’ blue progress cards from the previous teacher. Erase assessments in Surahs, Duas and Hadith.
  8. Check if you have all the necessary kitaabs for your class. If you are short of any books, please make a note of it and contact your Principal / Supervisor.  [Pls make a note of the changes in the History syllabus]. This year we have new kitaabs for Grade 3,4,5 and 6 alhamdulillah. [order form attached]
  9. Commence sabak of Qur-aan / Qaidah on the first day of Madrasah.
  10. Do revision of past years Surahs, Duas and Hadith in the form of a group before commencing with new work in these subjects.
Note: The Ta’limi Board workshop will take place on Saturday 18 January 2025 at the Westville Jaami Masjid at 9:15 am Insha Allah.

May Allah Ta’ala accept our broken efforts and bless us with His special Rahmah and Mercy.

Was Salaam

When will Imaam Mahdi appear?

Once Moulana Ihtiramul Hasan Kandhlawi (RA) narrated:

Dr Abdul Carrim Saahib and myself were once discussing regarding the appearance of Imaam Mahdi. Doctor Saahib was of the opinion that he is to appear anytime now and I was insisting that there are certain signs mentioned in the Hadith that will appear before the appearance of Imaam Mahdi and those signs have not yet appeared. In order for Imaam Mahdi to make his a […]

Hadhrat Uthmaan bin Mazh’oon radiallahu anhu

During the time of jaahiliyyah, the Arabs used to consider wine, dine and song to be the ultimate way of life. However there were certain people amongst them who understood and realized that life has a deeper purpose and meaning. Amongst these wise men was a person by the name of Uthman bin Mazh’oon. He had made wine […]

مَالِكُ الْمُلْكِ – Maalikul Mulk: The Owner of the Kingdom

مَالِكُ الْمُلْكِ – Maalikul Mulk: The Owner of the Kingdom

Allah Ta’ala is the owner of everything. Allah Ta’ala owns the entire world. Nothing belongs to us. Everything belongs to Allah Ta’ala. Our house, our car, our clothes, our parents, all belong to Allah Ta’ala. Allah Ta’ala can take it away whenever He wants. Therefore we must use everything as Allah Ta’ala wants from us.
When our cousins come home for a holiday, they sleep in our room, play with our toys and eat in our kitchen. After the holiday they don’t take our room, our toys and our kitchen with them to their homes, because it does not belong to them. In the same way when we die, we don’t take our house, our car and our clothes with us into our graves, because it doesn’t belong to us. Everything belongs to Allah Ta’ala. America, Africa, Australia and Asia all belong to Allah Ta’ala. The sun, the moon, the stars, the planets all belong to Allah Ta’ala. We all belong to Allah Ta’ala. We live for Allah Ta’ala, we die for Allah Ta’ala and one day we will all return to Allah Ta’ala.
Advice for the children
Listening to Nazams: If a nazam, nasheed or naat has the singing style of music, then it is haraam to listen to such a nazam. If a nazam has any background music then too this nazam is haraam to listen to. Today most of the nazams have become singing and music. How disrespectful they are! They use the pure name of Allah Ta’ala and Nabi Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam to make dirty music. Most of the time radio stations play musical singing haraam nazams. May Allah Ta’ala protect us from listening to them and let us remind others as well.
